Prior to joining GreenUp Wealth Management in 2024, Matt worked as a station manager for the NBC affiliate in Kansas City. He spent two decades in the media industry, working in various roles ranging from newspaper reporter to senior director of broadcast news. He has lived and worked all over the country but is proud to call the Kansas City area his forever home.
Matt has always been passionate about serving his community and helping his neighbors navigate life’s challenges. It’s the reason he joined GreenUp Wealth Management following an award-winning career in media management. Growing his own family and seeing audience research highlighted the importance of financial literacy and planning. He learned firsthand what a difference thoughtful and strategic financial management could make for his family and wanted to use his experience to help make financial planning accessible to everyone.

Matt is an avid sports fan and, during his time in media, worked side-by-side with several championship franchises including the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks. He believes sustaining a winning culture requires a growth mindset and a culture of shared ownership. He also believes in lifelong learning.
Matt lives in Prairie Village, Kansas with his wife, Kristin, and their two children, Henrik and Ella. He is a die-hard supporter of Arsenal Football Club in the Premier League and his kids’ soccer teams, the Hawks and the Skunks.
