GreenUp’s commitment is to make a positive impact on the lives of our firm associates and on a much bigger view, positively impact the world. In accordance with our vision, GreenUp Wealth Management joined forces with 1st Phorm by successfully completing their 30 For The Kids challenge.
Throughout the world there are children who do not have access to the essentials of life: food, water, shelter, or medicine. These battles are difficult for most of us to even imagine which is why it is crucial to come together as one community and make a difference. This is why 1st Phorm started 30 For The Kids!
What is 30 For The Kids? The challenge is simple (although sometimes the execution is not). Participants pay an entry donation of $30 or more and commit to doing 1 of 5 workouts every day during the 30-day period:
- 30 minutes on the Stairmaster
- 100 Push-ups, 200 Sit-Ups, 200 Squats
- Run 3 miles (or walk 45 minutes)
- 100 Burpees as fast as possible
- 60 minutes on a bike
The program is run on the honor system and if you miss a workout, you simply log on to the 30 For The Kids website, pay a $5 fine, and accomplish your commitment the next day! During this fantastic yet challenging 30-day journey, we are proud to announce that every associate at GreenUp Wealth Management participated, making significant progress in our individual fitness journey, while coming together in a continued and ongoing effort to fulfill our mission-to positively impact the lives of others.
As a result of the fantastic success and growth of 1st Phorm’s program over the last 5 years, 30 For The Kids has been able to accomplish the following:
- Adopt an entire orphanage in Haiti, providing 47 kids with water, food, healthcare, clothes, medical attention, and shelter for a year, four years in a row
- Support The Covering House, a St. Louis based organization that helps young girls who have been victims of domestic sex trafficking
- Help Lift for Life which provides inner-city kids in St. Louis with the opportunity to learn about fitness & weight lifting in a safe, positive, and uplifting atmosphere that they may not otherwise have access to
- Over the years, adopted many families for Christmas and Thanksgiving, working with other charities on taking care of medical expenses, clothes, food, and more for kids in need.
